Paper accepted for IFAC WC 2017

Our paper Computing monotone policies for Markov decision processes: a nearly-isotonic penalty approach was accepted for publication and presentation at the 20th World Congress of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC WC’17) that will be held July 9-14 2017 in Toulouse, France.

A preprint of our paper Asymptotically Efficient Identification of Known-Sensor Hidden Markov Models is now available on arXiv. It has been submitted to the IEEE Signal Processing Letters.

Optimal policy

It was presented a few weeks ago at the IEEE Multi-Conference on Systems and Control 2016 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The work has been performed jointly with researchers from the Stockholm Aneurysm Research Group (STAR) at Karolinska Institute.

I presented the poster Fast Identification of Hidden Markov Models with Known Observation Probabilities at the ERNSI Workshop 2016 that was held September 25-28 in Castelbrando - Cison di Valmarino, Italy.

The paper A Markov Decision Process Model to Guide Treatment of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms has been accepted for publication and presentation at the IEEE Multi-Conference on Systems and Control 2016 that will be held September 19-22, 2016 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The paper presents an application of Markov decision processes to health-care. The work has been performed jointly with researchers from the Stockholm Aneurysm Research Group (STAR) at Karolinska Institute.
